Use It!

Use It! Challenge #7, by Anja.

The scoop: Use either black or white cardstock as the base of your card. Use at least 4 different papers from different brands. Use a non scrap item. Do some doodling & add anything else you might like.

So, anyway...a non scrapbook item, huh? A walk to the kitchen yielded an almost empty box of goldfish. I think this goldfish Finn fella is so cute, so I used him as a die cut. Then, and I know this is crazy...I mod podged some goldfish crackers. LOL!

Cardstock base is white, pps: K&Co., Sassafras, Daisy Bucket designs and Scenic Route. Goldfish box and crackers as my non scrappy item(s) and just because I had to doodle...I added some tiny fish bubbles.

Thanks for the challenge, Rae & Anja!

Use It!

Challenge #6 @ Use It!, from Regan:

1.Go out of your comfort zone, for me is it “guy cards”,
2.Use something you’ve been hoarding for a while.
3.Use some of your new favourite things.
4. Heat Embossing

My son Matthew will be 20 years old on April 20....so, I needed to make him a "guy card". Who says guy cards can't have hearts?

I heat embossed the HS chipboard heart w/blue Ranger embossing powder. The thickers were originally green. I painted them black and then painted them w/some glossy accents by Ranger. Before they were dry, I sprinkled some doodlebug black glitter on top. They look cool in real life.

The paper is new to me, Pink Paislee and I also used some Scenic Route from my stash.

Thanks to Rae and Regan at Use It!

2 Sketches 4 You ~

~click card image~

I made an Easter card for my mom. I especially love to make cards when I already know who the receiver will be. I think this Making Memories Easter pp is sweet and I know my mom will love it. Pretty much everything I used is by Making Memories, even the yellow trim. The eyelet trim came from jo-ann's, the beads from Walmart. The card & envelope are a set by DCWV.

Thanks to the 2 Sketches girls for their awesome sketch challenges!
Happy Easter to you!
