Caardvarks Kraft challenge ~

Caardvarks current challenge is to use Kraft cardstock on a card. This card has kraft on the front, under the acrylic overlay, and it's also matted w/kraft on the inside. The chipboard frame is by Basic Gray. I embossed it to look silver. Flowers & crystals are Prima, pop dotted bead is Blue Moon and ribbon is Offray. Give it a click for a nice, clear view.

You know how sometimes you make a card and you think to yourself "that's cute", or "this turned out nice" and that's that. And, then...other times you make a card and you're really pleased? Well, I am really pleased with this card. I wanted something different. I had spied this Blue Mood bead at my jo-ann's a while back. This week, it was 40% off, so I picked it up thinking maybe it would inspire me. I love this bead & I love this card. Yay for feeling good about creating!

No title, I'm calling it an all occasion card.

...pretty prima paper.

Saw this new Prima paper over the week-end and scooped a piece up thinking it would make a sweet card. I pop dotted the bird's body only, but it's hard to tell that from photos. The glittery cardstock, to me, is fab! I love the sparkly goodness it adds to this card.

just lovin' this little notebook ~

My friend Jan, over @SBO challenged us to use as many manufacturers as possible on a project. I went w/some of my favorite patterned papers and covered a notebook. I'm totally diggin' how it turned out! May give it to my sister, Karin. She is in need of a little pick me up and I think this would make her smile. Give it a click for a nice, big view. :)

2 Sketches 4 You ~

When I saw Kazan's sketch #20, I immediately thought of a wedding card that I needed to make for our nephew. I've been saving this s*e*i patterned paper because I thought it would make a pretty, formal wedding card. I picked up the Jolee's wedding cake (on sale, of course) and used my cuttlebug "Textile" folder for some additional texture. The last photo is the front of the envelope I made. I really love this card and hope Jimmy & Rachel do too.

Here's to happily ever after!

cuttlebug acetate challenge #19

The cuttlebug has indeed been a challenge for me. LOL!
Yesterday I found this blogspot that has so much cuttlebug inspiration.

Thought I'd give this acetate challenge a try.
I am happy with this card I made using the "Leafy branch" folder.
I used the acrylic packaging from some Tim Holtz grungeboard and then cut out around the image.

Old stuff is still good stuff...

This morning I started to clean up my scrap space and you know how that goes. Before you put something away, you push stuff out of the way to make a flat space and make a card. That's what I do, anyway. LOL!

With CHA products arriving in stores soon, I feel the need to use up some old scrappy things. Like this metal pink drink brad RAK'd to me by Nicole. Is it any less cute because it is not new? Will the receiver of this card know any better? No & no.

I'm not afraid to use old stuff. That's all I'm sayin'.

Have a nice day,

Caardvarks heart challenge ~

Can you tell that this card was created by using whatever was in an arm's length reach?
When I look at it, I see random chaos, but pretty chaos. LOL!

The Basic Gray chip heart was covered with Doodlebug glitter & topped w/gloss mod podge.

happy valentine's day!

Tom & I don't do too much for Valentine's Day. As long as he remembers me with a card, I am very happy. This is what he left for me this morning, on top of the napkin holder on the kitchen table.

I am his scrappy mama. He is the best husband ever and I love him to pieces.
Love someone? Tell them today!

Filbert RULES.

I am really liking this lay-out of Filbert. I took this photo of him on New Year's Eve. He sat next to me all night while we played Monopoly and ate nachos.

Jan, over @SBO has a ribbon challenge going this month AND Corey, over @Use Your Stash is doing a ribbon challenge. I used some yummy Strano and ribbon stiff to make the shape of the dog house.

We B Scrappin' was a hit!

Everyone showed up for the crop yesterday and we had a great time!
I worked on a prima mini album. It took me 8 hours to paint, sand and add patterned paper to each page. I have only added 3 photos! Still much to do....

I took a few pics, but they are giving me fits now and won't upload. Who knows! Will try again later.

Thanks to Julie Ann, Marti, Rachel, Jen & Carrie for making the drive to We B! Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Hugs!

it's monday!!

And I am in such a good mood!
I woke up this morning thinking we are another day closer to Spring.
Not only that, but it's just two days until my table time scrappin'
day with Marti & JulieAnn & Kelly (and anybody else who shows!) at We B Scrappin' in Cicero, New York. Yay!
Haven't cropped in so long and I love these girls, so to steal my
blog title....it's all good. PLUS, the weather forecast is good! No snow
to drive in!

Last week, I bought this stamp (from joann's). It's made by Inkadinkado and it spoke to me. I *heart* this stamp!!

Hope this Monday finds everyone happy & warm.

Use your stash!

Use your stash. It's a blog dedicated to using....well, your stash! I love this concept since we've all got a ton of stuff that sometimes does not get the attention it deserves.

The challenge is to use the following: paper clips, a flower and 2 pps.

Here's my take.

It's hard to tell that I used 2 pps. For the second pp, I cut out some circles and added them to the die cut. Click on the image for a closer look.

Thanks to the girls at Use your stash!

one more card challenge...

...and then I need to get busy on my friend Jan's challenges over at SBO. That's www.scrapbookeronline.com. Some awesome girls hang out there.

Caardvarks is having a polka dot challenge. It actually ends tomorrow night, so I whipped this card up tonight and uploaded just in time.

I have a friend in Boston who has been unemployed for a while now. She had an interview last week & said it went well. I made this card for her because I am hopeful that she'll get this job! Glass half full, if you know what I mean.
